My solo exhibit at the Flying Monkey came down a few weeks ago, and I regret not posting these photos of it sooner. If you have any pics from the opening, please let me know because I’d like to add them to the photo gallery. I’m afraid I was too busy talking to folks and selling the shirts to take many pictures. Ah, what a nice problem to have.
Speaking of shirts, I’m currently sold out but I’m restocking as we speak.

Two new pieces to show off, both made in Adobe Photoshop. A local high school asked me to do a piece for homecoming tshirts, this year they’re having a zombie dance. I hope they like the title I came up with, I’m not above dropping a pun once in awhile.
The next piece is, sadly, based on a true story. She’s real, and she’s out there somewhere.
Both pieces are purely digital, 100% Photoshop. I’ve been carving too, but it’ll be awhile before I get access to a printing press that can handle something 18×24.

New prints available! One is a color version of the original Ameressiah print, which I just realized wasn’t shown on the site. I also finished the newest chronicle of the Ameressiah’s adventures: Operation Extintioning! The other is a newly colored Hobo Crab, which I just started making this past week.
The biggest announcement is that my store at Etsy is now up an running. The whooshing sound of progress rings in my ears.

Frat House of the Dead
I think the Frat House of the Dead is one of the best prints I’ve ever turned out. I’m finally getting comfortable with shading and texture in a way I’m satisfied with. I think the next few pieces will be smaller, so I can crank them out faster and they’ll be a little easier to print. And if we’re lucky they’ll fit on a tshirt.
I’m setting up separate pages for the two series I’m still working in- the Zombies and the Ameressiah. Ordinarily I’m against artist statements, I think if you can’t appreciate a piece on its own merit without reading the artist’s explanation of it, then the artist is not communicating properly. But I think the full account of my reasoning behind the work ought to be present for those who are curious.
And then there’s the Paypal setup. And the clothing setup. And I swear I will work on this site someday, just as soon as I get tired of actually making new prints.

Zulu Death Mask
Lots of tinkering happening at BT right now. I’ve gotten this nice new digital camera which does everything I want except – when I plug it into my mac it doesn’t show up. The mac and the Canon Powershot are apparently not on speaking terms, and no amount of taking them out for drinks is making them chummier. I’ve found a work-around for now that involves getting my quite friendly camera to talk to other people’s computers and then get it back to my grumpy anti-social machine in a roundabout way.
All this just means it’s taking me awhile to get pictures of my work to display on here. Also, Word Press is giving me a headache with its image file uploading set up.
Update: Finally fixed as of 10-9-08
